Welcome to Flyinghours.com, the temporary placeholder for the OpenPilotLogbook.org project. OpenPilotLogbook.org is a project aimed at creating a all-inclusive, easy to use and free electronic pilot logbook for private and professional pilots of all types of aircraft and helicopters.

This website serves as a temporary placeholder for the project; please check back soon for updates. Now that OpenOffice.org 2.0 has been released we are committed to completing work on version 1.0 and hope to come up with a stable and full-featured pilot logbook solution.
Also, we intend to start a migration to a Base-driven flight database.

This logbook is still in a Beta testing phase. To report bugs, please E-mail me!

Current logbook features include automatic nighttime calculation, quick flight entry through customizable user profiles, a external and easily up datable database covering all airports and most heliports in the world and a quick-find function.

To help build the most comprehensive and easiest to use pilot logbook your macro plug ins are more than welcome! Macros can be written in OpenOffice.org Basic, Python and Beanshell and will be implemented with your credits after testing.
Read more about writing macro code for OpenOffice.org in the OpenOffice.org forum, or more specifically in the macros and API (Application Programming Interface) section. An excellent resource for macro programming in OpenOffice.org is Andrew Pytoniak's macro information.
